Izwi Lami is a project funded by the National Arts Council of South Africa (NAC) that uses the medium of photography to engage with 14 learners living with disability of Harding Special School. Izwi Lami aims to dismantle society’s usual exclusion of full participation of people living with disability, particularly children, in the day to day activities of life. Izwi Lami, therefore, encourages the young children to come together and voice their experiences and share their passions and stories through the medium of photography, breaking down the stigma that they are unable.
